Who we are

The Council of European Municipalities and Regions is the first and broadest European association of Local and Regional Governments. Since 1951, we empower big cities, small municipalities, and remote rural areas, ensuring their local leaders are fully equipped to drive the sustainable transition of their territories and work hand in hand with their communities to address global challenges.
