European Commission publishes calls for proposals
The European Commission has published a call for proposals for town twinning actions in 2005.
The call focuses mainly on two types of actions : meetings between citizens of twons from different states, and jint organisation of seminars or conferences.
As usual, CEMR and its network are available to help and advice any municipality wishing to benefit from the Commission's programme for town twinning.
The call for proposals and the documents to fill are available on the Town twinning page of the European Commission's website (in 11 languages). We draw your attention to the deadlines to send back the forms to the European Commission.
Note : last month, the European Commission proposed a euro 10.5 million budget for its 2005 town-twinning programme. CEMR called this proposal unacceptable and called for a euro 12 million budget instead (more).
