Since 1951, we have brought the priorities and needs of local and regional leaders to European and international institutions. We are dedicated to shaping the EU and global agenda, amplifying local leaders’ voices and ensuring that all municipalities, towns, and regions are included in decision-making at the European and international levels.
In Brussels, our main interlocutors are the EU institutions and bodies. CEMR is also the European section of the world organisation United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) through which we represent European Local and Regional Governments on the international stage.
