UrbanTec: international congress showcases technologies and trends for better cities
Participate in the 'Urban Tec – Smart technologies for better cities" fair, to take place from 24 to 26 October 2011 in Cologne, Germany.
Public administrators, infrastructure operators, project developers, as well as contractors.and practitioners will get to meet international market and technology leaders from all industry sectors involved in urban development.
At UrbanTec, manufacturers will be showcasing technologies and solutions for urban agglomerations and cities around the globe. UrbanTec comprises three pillars: a congress, an exhibition and a demonstration field. The exhibition provides a platform for industries to present products, services and concepts, while the demonstration field will serve to showcase practical examples of the kind of technologies that are available and already in use in this area.
Renowned experts include Hans-Peter Keitel (president of the Federation of German Industries – BDI), Jeremy Rifkin (international policy advisor), Klaus Töpfer (executive director of the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies), Roland Busch (member of the Executive Board, CEO of Sector Infrastructure and Cities, CEO of Cluster Asia-Pacific, Siemens AG) and Christian Ude (president of the German Association of Cities).
The event is notably backed by Deutscher Städtetag, the German Association of Cities, a CEMR member association.
