Youth unemployment, urban development and local finances at the heart of the debateCEMR Executive bureau held its annual meeting from 5 to 6 March in Athens. The Bureau members addressed three main points:

- The adoption of the study “Tackling youth unemployment: ‘Let's revive partnership between all Governance levels’”, jointly carried by CEMR and its member associations;
- The EU Urban agenda and the future of cities in Europe;
- Discussions around the Local Finance Benchmarking programme – which aims to analyse the impact of the economic crisis on local budgets in Mediterranean countries.
rnThe meeting was hosted by the Vice-President of our Greek association (KEDE), Ioannis Kourakis, and the Mayor of Athens, Giorgios Kaminis. Besides, members of the Council of Europe and NALAS also attended the event.
