Take part in the Handinnov prize to reward best practices in favour of insertion young disabled people

Take part in the Handinnov prize to reward organisations and local government having introduced exemplary practices in favour of young disabled people. Applications are open until 24 September 2008.
 
The purpose of the competition is to honour noteworthy and innovative achievements and practices that have made a significant impact on the integration of young disabled people in schools, higher education, the workplace or in society in general.
 
The competition will single out one initiative in each member-State of the European Union taking part in Handinnov. Moreover 3 organisations that have undertaken transnational European actions that meet the criteria of the competition selected by the jury will also be rewarded.
 
The awards ceremony, to be held in Paris at the end of November, will bring together the many competition winners from all over Europe. All the prize winners from the 27 countries will be invited to spend a few days in Paris where they will take part in several prestigious events in the presence of key French and European figures.
