World local government organisation UCLG launches new website
The world organisation of local government, United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG), has just launched its news website, www.uclg.org, one year ahead of its World Congress to be held in Rabat, Marocco.
The website, which is divided into three parts (Organisation, Issues and Events), has adopted a more user-friendly and welcoming layout. In the “Issues” section, the information is organised according to 25 thematic sections including, millennium goals, access to basic services, development cooperation, lobbying before the United Nations, etc.
All publications, newsletters, reports and articles are available for download and printing, and can be sent by email or shared via social networks. Indeed, UCLG is present on Facebook and Twitter.
The Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR) is the European section of UCLG.
