FOSTER

The Future Oriented Solutions Towards Environmental Resilience (FOSTER) project is a 2-years initiative funded by the CERV programme of the EU Commission, reuniting partners from all over Europe.

The FOSTER project will contribute to promoting local governments, citizens, their representative associations engagement, fostering and reinforcing local governance frameworks and therefore contributing to the democratic and civic life of the European Union. It aims at enhancing local and regional governments capacity on participatory and multistakeholder governance based on foresight strategies and planning. The project will organise capacity-building activities, with training events at European and local levels, and l develop community of interest with local and regional governments and citizens. This work will be presented in various international and European events, organised in the framework of the project.

In this initiative, CEMR is organising a Public Conference on climate change effects on local governance, with the objective to establish a robust common foundational understanding of climate change and its diverse socio-economic consequences among the target groups.
