European and arabic cities to come together in Malaga
The 2nd Euro-Arab Cities Forum, co-organised by the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR) and to take place on 25 and 26 February 2011 in Malaga, Spain, is to focus on governance,.urbanisation, the sustainable development of cities and the impact of the financial crisis.
The Forum, entitled 'Experiences of cooperation and prospects for facing common challenges", is to go beyond cooperation between cities to include other actors such as financial institutes, private and public companies, UN agencies, the European Union and universities.
The Euro-Arab Cities Forum is also organised by the Arab Towns Organisation, the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe and COPPEM, at the invitation of the City of Malaga.
