Our Impact Communities

CEMR work covers a broad spectrum of topics vital to local and regional governments and their national associations. Everything we do serves one purpose: to empower Europe’s towns, cities, and regions to shape a more sustainable, inclusive, and democratic future for their communities. 

We organise our activities around four impact communities:

This structure allows us to respond effectively to the complex and interconnected challenges facing local and regional governments.

Accelerate the transformation of territories to achieve net-zero goals, protect biodiversity and adapt to the challenges of climate change

Cohesion

Foster territorial cohesion and enhance systemic approaches that can break urban-rural silos

Labour

Bridge the digital divide and make local and regional governments a driver for employment and digital transformation

Society

Build inclusive, democratic, and trustworthy societies free of inequalities and discrimination
