The World Urban Forum (WUF) is the world’s leading global conference dedicated to sustainable urbanisation. Established in 2001 by the United Nations, WUF serves as a high-level platform to address the challenges and opportunities created by rapid urban growth and its impacts on communities, economies, climate change, and urban policy.
Since its first edition in Nairobi, Kenya in 2002, the Forum has been hosted in cities around the globe, bringing together diverse voices to shape the future of cities.
WUF13, co-organised by the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan, is expected to welcome thousands of participants, including representatives from national, regional, and local governments, academia, business, urban planners, community leaders, and civil society organisations.
The Forum provides a unique space for dialogue, knowledge exchange, and collaboration to advance inclusive, resilient, and sustainable cities worldwide.
