Following the European Commission’s recent Communication on European Tech Sovereignty, this meeting will provide an opportunity to discuss its key elements and implications for local and regional governments (LRGs). The initiative includes major proposals such as the Chips Act 2.0, the Cloud and AI Development Act, as well as strategies on open source and digitalisation in energy.
This Expert Group meeting will allow participants to exchange views on next steps and share perspectives on how these developments may impact LRGs.
