Seminar 16 January : The Versailles charter, 50 years later

CEMR are organising on 16 January 2004 in Versailles a seminar at the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the adoption of the European charter of local liberties.
The seminar is entitled "50 years after the Versailles charter, what achievements and what perspectives for local self-government?"
The first of the two sessions will focus on the achievements of the Versailles charter 50 years after its adoption by over one thousand European mayors; the second will consist of a round table on the future of local self-government.

The seminar is organised with the support of the French association of CEMR, in partnership with the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities in Europe and the Committee of the Regions of the EU.
