The European Water Resilience Strategy (EWRS) estimates an annual investment gap of around €23 billion in water-related infrastructure across the EU. Increasing investment in all stages of water management is therefore a key priority of the Strategy.
Local and regional authorities and public water operators play a vital role in delivering these investments, making access to EU and national funding essential.
Jointly organised by Aqua Publica Europea and the Council of European Municipalities and Regions, this webinar will present available and upcoming EU funding opportunities for water investments, including under the current and next Multiannual Financial Framework, as well as the European Investment Bank’s new Water Resilience Programme. A panel discussion will explore how EU funding can be used effectively in practice.
