Only 3 more week until the 7th European Conference on Sustainable Cities and Towns

The City of Geneva and Local Governments for Sustainability (ICLEI) invite you to attend the 7th European Conference on Sustainable Cities and Towns, to be held in Geneva, Switzerland, from 17 to 19 April 2013, and in collaboration with the Council of European Municipalities and Regions.  A special session for mayors, to be held on the first day of the conference, will allow for local elected officials to exchange on the funding of public services in times of crisis.

Based on the results of the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+20), participants will work towards bridging the gap between environmental, economic and social goals, as well as bringing together stakeholders and experts in the field of local sustainable development.  Thus, governments, civil society and business will be given the necessary tools to put into place concrete policies and action plans, which are respectful of local governance.

The conference will provide participants with the opportunity to meet a number of experts in the field of local government and sustainable development.  Local governments from Italy, Spain, Portugal and Greece can now benefit from a reduced participation fee (€270).
