Dialogues on Cohesion Policy
The objective is to increase the visibility of EU Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF), by demonstrating the added value of cohesion policy through its concrete projects implemented at local and regional levels. The dialogue will provide an opportunity for local authorities to engage in a two way conversation about EU actions in the regions. In doing so, the dialogues will contribute planned Commission activities around the 30th anniversary of EU cohesion policy (in 2018).
CEMR must monitor the implementation of the action. It is the intermediary for all communications between the beneficiaries and the Commission. It must make the appropriate arrangements for providing any financial guarantees required under the Agreement and draw up the requests for payment in accordance with the Agreement. It must ensure that all the appropriate payments are made to the other beneficiaries without unjustified delay. It is responsible for providing all the necessary documents required for checks and audits initiated before the payment of the balance or documents required for evaluation.
