EU Dialogue, Local Solutions

About

The project has as objectives to:
Focus on three joint achievements (i.e. the guidelines on gender equality guidelines, on third party violence and harassment, on integration of migrants and non-discrimination), specifically aiming to:
1) Increase awareness of CEMR’s members of the outputs of the social dialogue and their concrete impact on local and regional governments;
2) Investigate and discuss how joint social dialogue achievements have been used locally. These discussions will aim to understand successes, challenges but also an eventual potential for transfer of knowledge among local and regional governments;
3) Connect local governments to the broader policy framework of the Agenda 2030/SDGs to show the role and concrete actions of SD and LRG towards the achievements of SDGs.
Strengthen capacity-building of social partners at national level, in particular in those countries where social dialogue practices are less common and the role of social partners in the national and local policy making need to be more structured and embedded in the national governance procedures;
Assist with the implementation and guide the work of the Social Dialogue Committee by implementing its Work Programme and providing evidence and recommendations which can be taken up in more detail in future Committee Working Groups.
